Our Staff

Interim Pastor

Victor and Dixie Oliver have been in pastoral, missionary and leadership positions for many years. Victor has been bi-vocational – serving both in the church and corporate leadership roles. The Olivers live in Atlanta and Victor will be traveling to Birmingham for days each week to serve St. Peter’s as Interim Senior Pastor. He also serves as the network leader for the Miletus network under Bishop John Miller.

Assistant Pastor of Pastoral Care

Glandion Carney provides leadership training and counseling in areas of pastoral care, prayer, and spiritual formation. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Glandion has worked for a number of para-church organizations and ministries such as World Vision, Intervarsity, Youth for Christ and Wycliffe Bible Translators. He was the founding pastor of CentrePointe church in Grand Rapids, Michigan for 10 years. He also worked with attorneys as a chaplain for the Christian Legal Society. Carney has authored six books, and he currently serves on the board of Renovare. Glandion and his wife Marion have four adult children and eight grandchildren.

Worship

Richard Bierman is a native Minnesotan (Yes, he’s a Yankee!). He and his wife, Pamela have two elementary aged children and live in Bluff Park. Richard has developed a real love for helping to bring people to a place of worship and intimacy with the lord. He has an appreciation for a wide breadth of church music, and believes that honoring God, rather than amusing or pleasing ourselves is at the center of what Christian Worship needs to be about.

Youth

 

Paul Martin is the youth pastor at St. Peter’s. He is driven by the needs of youth to be discipled and to experience the transformation of being in the presence of a Living God. Paul loves to hang out with teens and be in their world. Paul’s formal education is in music, so he loves to listen to an play music, especially with young musicians. He also loves woodworking and mowing grass. Paul is married to Cathy who also serves in the youth ministry and has two daughters, Jane and Elizabeth.

Children

Alyse Fulton is the interim children’s pastor at St. Peter’s.  Alyse is passionate about discipling children to grow in a real relationship with the living God through worship in Scripture, liturgy, prayer, and service.  She loves to grow and play with the kids as they learn to love and serve the Lord together.  Alyse is a graduate of Beeson Divinity School and loves music, cooking, cross-cultural interaction, and building relationships.  Alyse is married to Andrew Fulton, who is also on staff at St. Peter’s!

 

Administration

Amy Negrete serves as the church administrator for St. Peters. Amy’s work experience, combined with her formal education and missions experience makes her uniquely qualified to serve as our church administrator in this Anglican Mission in America church. Amy has been married to her husband Victor since 1997 and continues to enjoy her love of all things Hispanic, as Victor is a native of Mexico! They have 5 cats and 3 dogs.

Facilities

Andrew Fulton serves as the Facilities Coordinator at St. Peter’s.  He manages the building in order to facilitate worship and community growth for the congregation.  Andrew is a graduate of Beeson Divinity School.  He loves Guatemala, his childhood home of eight years, and enjoys studying languages and good discussions on theology.  Andrew is married to Alyse Fulton.
