I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed John Rosemond and were able to attend. Unfortunately, John does not allow the circulation of recordings of his talks. You can receive more information and resources at www.rosemond.com. Also, we have considered bringing John back to do a longer weekend at a later date. I will be glad to add your name to the list of possible participants should we proceed with this plan.

The rectors of the two largest parishes in the (Episcopal) Diocese of Alabama made a statement confirming their orthodoxy and they disavowed GenCon09's legislative actions.

Though their statement is commendable, the rectors are approximately six years late in understanding or recognizing the heretical movement of their ecclesial organization. I'm sure that their +Ordinary will or has already called them in for a chat.

This is simply a translation of the above post by Father Luis Tavárez of Madrid so that more of our members can read it and pray for him without resorting to the dictionary.

Father Luis says:

I am an Anglican priest living in Madrid. The Lord has put it on my heart to start an Anglican congregation related to the Anglican Church in North America, the new province.
A year ago I renounced the Episcopal Church. Now I am in search of a diocese or province that might want to support the missionary work in Madrid and Spain. I ask for your prayers for this project, that the Lord will help to find the necessary funds to start an Anglican mission.

Blessings,

Fr. Luis Tavárez Tejada.
Pº de los Olivos, 05. Madrid 28011.
Spain.

Well said Woody. "When TEC finally loses its Anglican linkage." Are you operating there in the area of the prophetic? If so, that adds a new one to that rather extensive gift list.

It is not a new thing that "+Ordinary Alabama" speaks from both sides of his mouth. His double-speak is apparently a professional attribute. But as long as his church faithful buy it, he'll continue to sell it. He's smart, he knows the future and wants his place to continue.

Also troubling are the "true orthodox" ordinaries who signed the Anaheim Statement. What is their real motivation? To keep their jobs by projecting themselves as faithful Episcopalians within the apostate church? To become an accepted "minority" within TEC? Retirement benefits? Or is the Anaheim Statement their positioning or a posturing maneuver intended to document their continued recognition by Cantuar when TEC finally loses its Anglican linkage?

An ugly sight indeed. One should view the Anglican TV press conference with TEC bishops Beckwith (Springfield) and Love (Albany). Neither bishop holds back on their criticism of TEC and its innovations. Contrariwise, it is interesting that the Bishop of Dallas (in his blog) says that his diocese should be patient and prayerful.

In part +Dallas said "What does this mean for the fragile unity of this branch of the Communion? We shall have to wait and see. I certainly cannot predict.

Over all, however, I think we must walk through these days a step at a time. I will reserve judgment until this drama plays out and we see where we are then."

Play out? See where we are then? How much drama will +Dallas absorb.

Orthodoxy will be totally banished from TEC - perhaps then he will know how it plays out.

Bendiciones,

P. Luis Tavárez Tejeda.

I attended C-Stone '02, '03 and '04. It is a phenomenal festival/concert/seminar experience. It opened my eyes to the astounding variety and beauty of the individual experience of God.

Encourage the youth to explore new music styles and to just hang out and talk with the people walking down the dirt roads. (If you haven't been, you walk A LOT.) There are several stages besides Main Stage.

I loved it and wish I had the time to go again.

There are some people who do stupid things. This is true wherever large numbers of young adults gather. The fest is an amazing experience. and If you forget anything, there is a Super Walmart in Bushnell.

Obama, Geitner, et. al., practice poor sophistry as they attempt to justify their pandering for votes from the unfortunate and the unwary. The rule of law, not to mention the order created by God and interwoven betwixt the physical and spiritual worlds, are toast (or will quickly become so) as their grip on the forbidden fruit of power (Garden of Eden anyone?) becomes tighter and more repleat. Bailouts are just the beginning, more atrocities will logically come because this administration's policies are failed at the gate. Maranantha! pax, jim+

Those serious about a relationship with Jesus Christ are tired of "man" marking Gods territory and claiming it as their own. ECUSA is no longer about Jesus and His message but rather making a political statement for power and personal beliefs.

Mary Elizabeth,
This is an incredible story and I hope there is massive turnout for the viewing. I am encouraging many of my B'ham friends to come to this. Could you give the details for each of the viewings (time, location, etc.)? Also, are Laura and Bishop John present for both viewings? I also don't want to bombard St Peters with too many for the viewing at your church that includes the dinner - should I steer folks to the Samford site or tell them to come after the dinner? One more thing: here is an interview with Laura by Gideon Strauss, editor of Comment - : http://www.cardus.ca/comment/article/26
This may be helpful with your promotion.
Thanks very much,
Robert Brandon
